A passion for supply chain excellence
A passion for helping businesses wring more efficiency and profit from their supply chains is what brought our founders together. CEO Samarth Sarthi brought management expertise from Carnegie-Mellon University and an extensive supply chain career in industry and foodservice. CTO Vishy Visweswaran brought a Princeton Ph.D. and an extensive background in optimization and planning.

Early supply chain innovators
Together they formed a team around an innovative set of algorithms for optimizing supply chain performance across raw materials, manufacturing and distribution. The software achieved measurable results, and over the early 2000s, the SCA customer base grew rapidly with enterprise applications for customers in the food, electrical, technology and metals industries.

The coming of SaaS
SCA was one of the first supply chain innovators to launch a SaaS product for customers and suppliers in 2010, and became a major player in the foodservice industry when its SCA Planner platform was adopted by McDonald’s and RSCS/YUM! Brands.

Today, SCA’s flagship SCA Planner supports the full complement of supply chain business processes for foodservice and other companies large and small. An end-to-end supply chain solution, SCA Planner helps all parties work together in real time to make the entire supply chain visible for planning, tracking and adapting quickly to changes in the market.

SCA is based in Pittsburgh, PA and Gurgaon, India. Its team of 70 provides full consulting, development, implementation and support of SCA Planner, and is led by the founders and a board of seasoned foodservice and software experts.
